NCS Interoperability Switch

NCS-C150 Two Radio Interoperability Switch

NCS-150      Crossband repeater

Interoperability Switches

The NCS-C150 is a two (2) radio repeater for cross band or in-band operation. (In-band operation requires the same RF proximity and Antenna considerations as any other in-band repeater). This flexible unit works with conventional, trunked and P25 radio systems; analog or digital. Rapid deployment, simple configuration, easy operation and no training required make this an ideal solution for occasional deployment in mutual aid situations as well as day-to-day interoperability operations.

The unit contains an automatic gain control circuit so setting of each radio´s receive audio is not required. Either radio can use COR of either polarity or VOX for the Busy signal.

Interface cables are available for nearly any radio including PTT phones.

The NCS-C150 has a small form factor of approx 4 x 4.75 x 1.25 inches and operates from 9-14VDC for use in any vehicle or fixed location.

The unit is provided with mounting brackets that enable securing the unit on top of or under a mounting surface. The form factor also accommodates easy mounting to a 19″ 1U rack panel.

Accessories

Radio Cables: NCS provides cabling to interface most commercial and amateur radios with the NCS-150 & NCS-C151. Cables can be provided for mobile as well as portable radios. The cables come in a standard length of 6 feet, however custom lengths are available.

Audio & PTT Delay Modules: The C410, C411 & C412 Delay Modules provides a user selectable audio delay to accommodate inherent delays seen in trunked systems between receipt of PTT and assignment of channel. Delays of 0, 50, 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600 & 3200msec are selectable.

AC Power Supply: A variety of power supplies are available for use with the C150 & C151.

Internal Settings

The NCS-150 has internal settings for operating mode selection:

COR+: High going carrier detect signal from radio.

COR-: Low going carrier detect signal from radio.

VOX: Received signal detection from voice signals being received.

LOW-HANG: Reduces the hang time when in VOX Mode.

TX Level: Controls are provided to adjust transmit audio level of each radio.

REC level: Control for recording of combined audio.

Pyramid Wireless Mic.

WM-1000-no-bg3

WM-1000, More Than A Wireless Mic.

The WM-1000 is a state of the art spread spectrum unlicensed radio system that provides extended coverage for mobile radio users. This portable radio system integrates with your existing mobile radio to give users handheld coverage when outside of their vehicle. With no license required, the WM-1000 offers easy implementation when compared to traditional SVR vehicular repeater systems.

The WM-1000 System can be configured to operate in several modes, allowing seamless group communications with dispatch from one or more WM-1000 handheld units or private communications between dispatch and one WM-1000.   If you work together with other users on a regular basis, and multiple WM-1000 handheld units are paired on the same channel and address, the system will operate in group mode.  This allows handheld users to communicate with each other on a common channel. The WB-1000 base units ESPIITM structure works to establish one priority vehicle on the scene to handle traffic to and from the dispatch channel.

Here are a few features and benefits of the WM-1000:

•Optional 128 bit AES Encryption
•Compatible with LTR, Conventional, NEXEDGE, IDAS, and P25
•Pyramid Smart Trunking II
•Caller ID with user Alias
•Integrated control of NEXEDGE mobile radios
•Large Graphic Display for Battery Status, Signal Strength and Caller ID
•Integrated Flashlight

Bird Electronics Handheld SiteHawk

SK-4000-TC-SiteHawk-Analyzer

The compact SiteHawk SK-4000-TC Antenna and Cable Analyzer. The instrument makes troubleshooting the transmission path of communication communications systems operating between 85 MHz to 4 GHz easier, faster, and more precise than ever.

As the successor to Bird’s popular Site Analyzer SA-3600 XT, the new instrument is 80% smaller, 60% lighter, and offers many new features as well.

Problems along the transmission path from where the signal exits the transmitter through the antenna are the most frequent causes of performance degradation in deployed communication systems. The SiteHawk SK-4000-TC quickly and precisely detects these problems, determines their location, and displays the results on its 1920-x-1080 pixel display. It indicates impedance mismatch (VSWR) and return loss throughout the path as well as cable insertion loss over the entire range or one specified by the user.

The instrument also employs Frequency Domain Reflectometry (FDR) to precisely locate the physical location of the problem or problems regardless of how far along the transmission they are from the instrument. Measurements include return loss or cable insertion loss in dB, VSWR, distance to fault in feet or meters, and distance-to-fault VSWR or return loss.

The instrument has an intuitive touch-screen user interface that shows all measurement results, and its wide range of adjustable parameters can be modified from a single screen. The SiteHawk SK-4000-TC has 16 Gbytes of high-speed flash memory that provides room for thousands of traces and instrument set-ups, and data can be offloaded via its USB interface to a flash drive or other external storage device. The USB interface is also used for charging the SiteHawk SK-4000-TC’s internal, removable battery, which provides a typical operating time per charge of 4 hr.

The fast swept measurement architecture of the SiteHawk SK-4000-TC is very fast requiring only 0.025 ms per frequency point, and seven points throughout the desired frequency span can be chosen from 51 to 3201 data points per sweep. It has user-adjustable X and Y scales and units, six markers for direct or difference measurements, and a user-adjustable pass/fail limit that reduces operator error and reduces measurement time by providing visual “go/no-go” status.

The SiteHawk SK-4000-TC can measure performance in relation to the user-selected limit line or a recalled trace, and a measurement-hold function allows a trace to be temporarily stored. Frequency can be set using either start-stop points or center and span frequencies.

The SiteHawk SK-4000-TC is supplied with an AC adapter, hard and soft carrying cases, 1-m USB cable, 1-m long coaxial cable, USB flash drive and interface cable, and an international power adapter. Other options are available as well.  You can see a short demo of the product on the following YouTube video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-swFMDhVR8&feature=youtu.be.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-swFMDhVR8&feature=youtu.be  Please contact your Secom Rep for more information.
